Synopsis:
“Smile and the World Smiles With You” profiles three men, a “home-town” clown, the “best-dressed man in Austin” and a roaming photographer, who work to make strangers smile. The documentary suggests that the simple act of bringing joy to others is perhaps the most necessary art one can practice. TRT = 11 min.

Director bio:
Ben recently won the prestigious Princess Grace Award from the Princess Grace Foundation USA for his current documentary “The Angriest Man in the World: Finding the Winnebago Guy.” His short films have premiered at South-by-Southwest and the Austin Film Festival, played on PBS, won awards including top prize at the 2006 Cinematexas Film Festival and screened at the Directors Guild Theatre in Los Angeles. He received a Master’s Degree in Film Production from UT in May, 2007, where he currently teaches an introductory undergraduate production course.
