Synopsis:
“One in 2000” explores the lives of intersex people, the one in two thousand individuals born with sex anatomy that does not fit into the standard “male” or “female” categories. Interweaving current stories with 1950′s educational films, the experiences of intersex people are demystified. TRT = 26 min.

Director bio:
Ajae Clearway has worked on an array of studio features and highly regarded independent films for the past 12 years, including Analyze That (Harold Ramis), Monsoon Wedding (Mira Nair), Girlfight (Karen Kusama), The Company (Robert Altman), Before Sunset and A Scanner Darkly (Richard Linklater). Clearway is currently pursuing her MFA in Directing in the Radio-Television-Film Department at the University of Texas, Austin.
