Synopsis:
One man. One contest. And a whole lot of food. He is Levi Oliver – steadfast as a prophet on a mountain. As his stomach overcomes the trials and tribulations of competitive eating, his heart learns about his passions and goals in life. TRT = 10 min.

Director bios:
Director Joshua Jaedicke co-directed “Levi Oliver: Competitive Eater” in the spring of 2004 with Claire Canavan. Since completing film school at UT in 2005, he has lived and worked in Los Angeles. When not directing, he works on the crew in production for national commercials and print campaigns, both on set and in the office.

Claire Canavan is a documentary artist who works in many forms. She has worked on many documentary-based theatre productions, such as directing “Living Borders,” a Living Newspaper inspired performance about labor issues for the inaugural conference at the Bernard and Audre Rapaport Center for Human Rights and Justice. Her nonfiction writing has appeared in such publications as Texas Monthly.com, Austin Magazine, Tribeza, and the Community Arts Network. She has also worked for documentary producer Karen Bernstein and Mobilus Media. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Performance as Public Practice Program at the University of Texas at Austin, where she teaches courses in Acting and Voice.
