Synopsis:
Who is allowed to be a cowboy? “Cowboys To Me” explores the cowboy icon, and what happens when gay men assert their place in the world of the cowboy. TRT = 11 min.

Director bio:
Jessica Dorfman first got her hands on a video camera at the Boston Film and Video Foundation, and later went on to work at the Bay Area Video Coalition in San Francisco, most recently as a youth media instructor. Self-taught and mentored by the San Francisco film community, Jessica has explored documentary, animation, experimental, and narrative filmmaking, and has shown her work in festivals across the country. She now attends The University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing her MFA in Film.
