Debbie Eynon Finley

Debbie Eynon Finley, born in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania in 1961, received a liberal arts degree from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts in 1984. She worked as a freelance illustrator and later as information technology (IT) professional. In 2007, she enrolled in the graduate school of journalism at the University of Texas at Austin to study photojournalism and is also studying film.

In 2008 Debbie’s documentary “Mind Over Polio”, was a semi-finalist in the 2008 CPOY contest and a grand prize winner in the 2008 Cinema Touching Disability contest in Austin. Mind Over Polio follows a 58-year old woman who suffers from post polio syndrome, but, maintains a positive attitude and finds much joy and humor in her life.
