It’s SXSW time and this year’s film festival looks fabulous. You can read descriptions of all the films at http://2008.sxsw.com/film/festival/films/index.php#docfeatcomp. But here’s some promotion for documentary films that I’ve seen, filmmakers that I know and like, and films I’ve heard of that sound interesting. Remember that the documentaries at SXSW are almost always worthwhile – and that even without a badge, it’s not that hard to get into films (especially at the Convention Center and at the Paramount) – and especially once the first weekend, March 8-9, passes and the crowds head to the music venues.
